Tei Consulting Group | Corn Hole Tournament

The team at Tei Consulting Group put together a Corn Hole Tournament back in May to raise money for Operation Smile. The idea, brought to the team by HR Director Danielle Hubbard, took off and soon enough we had a place and partner to make the corn hole boards.

Corn hole, with its humble roots in Kentucky and Ohio, is a game of tow teams competing to toss bags into corresponding boards. The boards, or corn hole platform, is made in a rectangular shape with one hole at the top for scoring purposes. Each team works together to score points, 3 if in the hole, 1 if in the scoring area and 0 if not. With our tournament, each team participated in multiple rounds leading up to one winner.
Danielle, who spearheaded the project, started to plan out the event back in February. She found local restaurant Greystone Pub as a fun and inviting place to hold a day long event. She campaigned the Charlotte area to find sponsors for each Corn Hole set, which the sponsor was able to keep afterwards.Danielle also found Plyer Custom Corn Hole boards to make custom board for each of our sponsors.

The event took place on May 1st with about 30 in attendance. Each team competed on a set of corn hole boards in hopes to win the grand prize which was bar glassware set and credit at our venue, Graystone Pub. We had a great turn out with our team and locals along with the local Tmobile store who sponsored some of the event.
